Rigid Materials & Cardboard Recycling - Giving Rigid Materials a New Life

Return-to-Recycle Program - Signage Boards

Through our supplier partnerships, Vivad has been recycling rigid signage materials for many years. Off-cuts from products including Corflute®, Imageboard and Armaboard are collected and reprocessed into new products, helping to reduce waste and support a circular economy.

For example, polypropylene (PP) off-cuts are converted into recycled polypropylene (r-PP) pellets, which can be used in a wide range of applications including outdoor furniture, 3D printing, profile extrusions and other manufactured products. Using recycled polypropylene helps reduce plastic waste, lower carbon emissions and support Australian manufacturing. Importantly, many products made from r-PP can themselves be recycled at the end of their use life, allowing the material to remain in circulation and contribute to a continuous recycling loop.

As part of our sustainability initiatives, Vivad offers an optional Return to Recycle service that can be incorporated into your order. The service allows eligible end-of-life Corflute®, Imageboard and Armaboard signage to be returned to Vivad for responsible recycling, helping divert valuable materials from landfill and support a circular economy.

To be eligible, signage must be direct printed and free from self-adhesive vinyl. Where required, we can also provide a decommissioning service, including the removal of eyelets, to prepare materials for recycling.

Paper-Based Display Boards

Products such as DISPA®, Re-board® and Ace Screenboard provide lightweight alternatives for many temporary display applications. Eligible direct-printed boards can typically be recycled through standard paper and cardboard recycling streams once they've reached the end of their useful life.

How to Identify Recyclable Products recycling-icon-(1).png

Look for the Vivad Recycling icon on selected eligible products.

Our Sales Team will be happy to answer any questions, confirm whether your Vivad-printed products are eligible, and discuss how the Return-to-Recycle Program can be incorporated into your next project. Contact us at sales@vivad.com.au

Cardboard Cores, and Packaging

In addition, many of our fabrics and self-adhesive vinyl products are supplied on cardboard cores and packaged in cardboard boxes. These materials, along with office printer paper, are collected through our long-standing recycling partner and sent to Australian paper mills, where they undergo sorting, pulping and remanufacturing into new recycled paper and cardboard products.

This process helps keep valuable resources in circulation, reduces waste sent to landfill and supports local manufacturing.
